This is a very early test build of a game project under development.
A new (very simple) level is generated every time you load the game or defeat a boss.
Press the arrow keys to move. Hold Shift to attack. Press Space to pause and unpause.
After you collect a scroll, select it in the pause screen. After you unpause, hold Control to use it.
Gamepad inputs might or might not also work, depending on your browser and gamepad.

This is mostly a test of engine and art style, not yet a fully playable game.
Known incomplete features:

  • There is no title screen or main menu yet.
  • There is no audio yet.
  • Controls cannot yet be reconfigured and gamepad compatibility is currently poor.
  • Almost all art assets are currently placeholders, demonstrating the intended visual style but not the intended quality level.
  • Only a few enemies, bosses, and spells are implemented so far, and their behaviors are not final.
  • Shop prices and treasure quantities are not finalized.
  • Floor 8 is a dead end with no exit.
  • There is only one level type.
  • There are no plot events or cutscenes of any kind.
  • The lives system does not work yet. If you run out of health, the game simply gets stuck. (Buying an extra life in a shop is pointless.)
  • The level timer currently has no gameplay effect.
